Advanced Proofs Are In – Books Headed to Fulfillment

Hi everyone,

We’re excited to share a short video with this update showing off the advanced proofs of The Book of Jusko. The books look absolutely incredible, and we’re happy to report that both Joes are thrilled with how everything turned out.

The remaining copies are now on their way to our fulfillment center in California, where they’ll be prepped for final packing and shipment to all of you.

Very soon, we’ll be sending out the BackerKit surveys so you can lock in your orders, confirm your shipping addresses, and finalize shipping. We’re almost there, and we truly appreciate your patience as we bring this home.

Trading Cards and Shipping Updates

Hey everyone!

We wanted to share a quick progress update as we continue moving The Book of Jusko toward the finish line.

The trading card set has officially been ordered and is expected to arrive at Joe Jusko’s home within two weeks. Once the cards are in hand, Joe will personally sign them, and we’ll immediately forward the cards to our fulfillment center so they can be packed with your books. 

EXCITING NEWS! We’ve been told the book is printed and we can expect the full shipment to be loaded onto the ship in Korea to begin their journey across the ocean to our fulfillment partners in California within the week!

That’s right, all orders will now be shipping from the United States, which simplifies delivery for everyone. You may remember we previously mentioned that international shipping would go out from Korea. That plan changed after our printer informed us that recent disruptions in global air freight have dramatically reduced available cargo space, driving international rates higher across all major carriers. To help keep costs under control for you, we pivoted to routing all books through the U.S. instead.

We’re still finalizing shipping prices with our fulfillment partners. Joe Pruett confirmed he did speak with the printers this morning, and we now have a clear picture of domestic shipping costs, though we are still working to lock in international rates. This is the last piece we need before sending out your BackerKit surveys, and we truly appreciate your patience while we make sure everything is as fair and accurate as possible.

Thank you for sticking with us and for the continued trust you’ve placed in this project. Every detail is being handled with care to ensure this book reflects the incredible legacy of Joe Jusko’s work.

Printing Progress, Shipping Plans, and What Happens Next

Hi everyone,

We've got a big update for those who are waiting, and we wanted to take a moment to give you a deeper look at what’s been happening behind the scenes with The Book of Jusko.

We recently received a hard-copy printer proof and are sharing a photo of it with this update.

After reviewing it closely, we identified a few small fixes and immediately sent those corrections back to the printer. Our next milestone is an advanced printed copy, which we expect in the next couple of weeks as the new proof is printed, assembled, and shipped from Korea.

We are printing overseas in Korea, and we’ve now confirmed that:

• International orders will ship directly from the Korean printer.
• United States orders will ship in bulk on pallets to a U.S. fulfillment center, and then be sent to you domestically.

Shipping directly from Korea for international backers was not part of the original plan, so we are currently re-evaluating international shipping pricing. The good news is that this should actually help reduce costs for many of you. The downside is that it has added some extra time while we sort out the best and most affordable options.

We are also still waiting for the final weights of the books and their custom cardboard mailers, which is why the BackerKit surveys have not gone out yet. We want to make sure we’re offering you the lowest possible shipping prices before asking you to lock in your information.

The Book of Jusko Has Officially Gone to Print!

Hey everyone,

We’re stoked to share some BIG news: The Book of Jusko was sent to the printer over the weekend!

Proofing this art book took a little longer than we expected. With the added pages, the extra editorial pass, and the care required to prepare all that glorious Jusko artwork for print, the process took weeks instead of days. But the result is absolutely worth it, and the book looks stunning. It’s something we’re incredibly proud of, and we know you’re going to be thrilled to put it on your shelves.

More good news: Our printer is reviewing all the layouts and will be providing us with the final shipping weights this week. Once we have those numbers, we’ll be able to lock in the best possible shipping prices for you, including our international backers! All books will ship in custom cardboard mailers to ensure The Book of Jusko arrives safely, no matter where it’s headed.

As always, we appreciate your patience, your support, and your shared admiration for Joe Jusko’s extraordinary career.

Production Update: Jusko’s Back from Baltimore & The Book Heads to Print!

Hey everyone,

We know it’s been a little quiet lately, but that’s because we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes getting The Book of Jusko ready for print!

Joe just got back from Baltimore Comic Con, and now that he’s home, he’s diving right into the final stretch, putting the finishing touches on the layouts and giving his last notes on the book. After that, the files will head to our proofer for one last quality check to make sure everything looks perfect.

If everything goes according to plan, we should be sending files to the printer by the end of next week!

From there, we’re expecting about a two-month turnaround, though we want to be upfront that holiday printing and shipping from Korea could cause slight delays. Right now, it looks like books will ship to customers in early January.

We thought you’d like to know the final page count too—it’s coming in at 240 pages. We were able to make this book even bigger because of all of you! 

In the meantime, we’re also working closely with our printer to finalize shipping rates—including affordable options for our amazing international backers. Once those are set, we’ll launch the BackerKit surveys so you can confirm your pledges, addresses, and any add-ons.

Thank you all for your patience and enthusiasm. The finish line is in sight, and we can’t wait for you to see this incredible celebration of Joe Jusko’s career in print.
